Final conference - 20.12.2022, BEYOGLUSPOR, Turkey
The event organized in the premises of BEYOGLUSPOR with the participation of 74 participants including the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the Mayor of Beyogluspor. During the event the results of the project were presented and the importance of sport for people with Autism was highlighted with special reference to table tennis advantages. Mr Andreas Rombopoulos, president of BEYOGLUSPOR gave a welcome speech to all the participants. Mr Xristos Skaloumbakas, from coordinating partner Habilis, said a few words about the importance of the project. Mrs Nilufer Bircan made a detailed presentation of the implementation of the project in Turkey. Mrs Nilufer presented the curriculum, the training materials developed, the trainings of the coaches and the pilot implementation where coaches trained persons with autism, showing videos from the training session toolk place both physically and with the VR App. Then the Major of Beyoglu Municipality gave a greeting speech and at the end the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew closed the conference.
